Supporting Homeless Australians

Homeless Australians

Women over the age of 55 are the fastest growing cohort of people experiencing homelessness in Australia.

Homelessness is something I never thought I would experience but now I know how quickly it can happen. It can happen to anyone.

In 2018, I suddenly found myself without a place to call home. I didn’t sleep on the streets, but I couch hopped staying with friends for short periods of time. Even with amazing friends, not having a safe place to call home is devastating.

Now that I have come through that situation, I want to help and support homeless Australians.

With the limited funds I have, I started Ahava Life Skincare to not only provide all natural skincare products, but to raise funds through to make a difference to Australians experiencing homelessness.

50% of profits are donated to help our homeless Aussies.

I am relying on people trying, loving and recommending Ahava Life Skincare products – the old fashioned word of mouth advertising, to help sales which will in turn raise funds to support homeless Australians. The more I can save on expensive marketing campaigns, the more I can donate.

Currently the Homeless Statistics in Australia are:

  • Tonight, more than 116,000 Australians will experience homelessness.
  • Women over the age of 55 are the fastest growing group of people seeking assistance from homelessness services.
  • Sadly, there are more than 6,000 women over 55 without a safe place to call home.
